Once again, the community at Lynbrook dodged the weather bullet for an absolutely magical evening of FREE fun and entertainment and the 2015 Christmas Carols & Moonlight Cinema event at Banjo Paterson Park.
2015 Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival
Weather threatened to cancel the event but the skies cleared and this year’s Lantern Festival was one of the LRA’s best events to date, with approximately 4,000-5,000 people in attendance.
2015 Lynbrook Winter Talent Showcase
In August of 2015, the LRA put on its inaugural Winter Talent Showcase event at the new Lynbrook Community Centre. The event was a raging success with a completely full audience enjoying some of the very best talent from the local areas.
2014 Lynbrook Lake Lantern festival
This year’s Lantern Festival was a truly magical event with around 3,000 residents from Lynbrook and beyond turning out for a fabulous family fun day out under the stars.

2013 Halloween in the park
Once again, Lynbrook turned out in force for a fantastic family evening at the 2013 Halloween in the Park event. Ghosts and Ghouls from all corners of Lynbrook and beyond showed their community spirit for this dress-up extravaganza. Special thanks goes out to Councillor Damien Rosario and his lovely wife for judging the best dressed competition.
2013 Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival – 19th October 2013
Perhaps one of the LRA’s best events to date, it seemed like the whole of Lynbrook turned out for this truly fantastic, fun-filled, family event. The weather was great, the people were great, the entertainment was great and the memories will last.
Holi Festival of Colours – 23rd March 2013
The LRA’s last event of the 2012/2013 Summer season proved to be one of our most successful and definitely one of our most fun, with everyone getting into the spirit of this annual Hindu celebration.
Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema – The Muppets – 16th February 2013
It was time to play the music and light the lights for our 5th and penultimate Moonlight Cinema of the inaugural 2012/2013 Summer season. High winds, unfortunately, forced our hand and we had to resort to an indoor performance using the Lynbrook Primary School PAC (Performing Arts Centre).
Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema – Wizard of Oz – 26th January 2013
The 4th installment of our inaugural season of Moonlight Cinema events was another success, this time with a showing of that family classic Wizard of Oz .
Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema – Arthur Christmas – 15th December 2012
Despite persistent forecasts for wet-weather, it was clear skies and a warm and balmy breeze in the end for our second Moonlight Cinema event featuring Arthur Christmas. Santa and his Elves entertained and delighted local Lynbrookians who, once again, turned out in force to support the LRA and enjoy the entertainment.

There was a fantastic turnout for the inaugural Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema , which saw the community get together for an evening of fun in front of the big screen.

Opening of Lynbrook Train Station – 22nd April 2012
After many years of campaigning, Lynbrook & Lyndhurst residents came in their droves to witness the opening of the new Lynbrook Train Station. The LRA was on hand to run a sausage sizzle for this historic event.
Clean-up Australia Day – 6th March 2012
Local residents were proud to have taken part in Clean-Up Australia Day 2011, where a staggering volume of trash was successfully removed from our local streets, parks and waterways.
Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival – 19th November 2011
On a rather wet and windy 19th November 2011, the LRA held it’s first Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival. The wet weather was not sufficient to drown out the enthusiasm of everyone that attended.
