Halloween – 31st October 2017

Join the Lynbrook Residents Association in Banjo Patterson Park from 5pm on Tuesday the 31st of October for the Annual Halloween event. Come dressed up and compete in the dress up competition across a number of age groups. There will also be plenty of lollies to be had.

2016 Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema & Carols
10th Dec 2016
Santa and his cheeky Elves will be here again on 10th December at Banjo Paterson Park for an evening filled with fun family entertainment. This year’s Moonlight Cinema & Carols event features a jumping castle, face-painting, live music, carols and so much more. And all topped off with a night under the stars with a screening of The Santa Clause shown on the LRA’s very own huge inflatable screen.

2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM)
31st August 2016
The 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Wednesday 31st August @ 7.30pm in Hall 1 at the Lynbrook Community Centre. To coincide with the AGM, the LRA’s August committee meeting will also take place on that date (one week later than normal).

2016 Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival

Get ready Lynbrook & surrounds for a truly magical event to take place around the lake at Banjo Paterson Park. This year, the LRA will be putting on the Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival, which is one of our most successful events. Join thousands of other families and have a great time with floating & hanging lanterns, food stalls, live music and other stage entertainment, food stalls and much, much more!

Clean-Up Australia Day
6th March 2016
Come and help your fellow neighbours keep Lynbrook and surrounds clean and tidy. Join the Lynbrook Residents Association for a free snag at Banjo Paterson Park after we all pull together to pull all the rubbish out of our park, streets and waterways. Click here to register. Registration is important as this will determine how many bags and other resources we are assigned.

HOLI Festival of Colours
19th March 2016
GET COLOURFUL with this traditional Hindu festival – HOLI Festival of Colours. Family-friendly prices and fun for the whole family at Banjo Paterson Park on Saturday 19th March. Indian food stalls, live music and a cordoned off colour throwing pit will make for a fantastic celebration for the whole family.

Carols & Moonlight Cinema
12th December 2015
A full evening of entertainment awaits for this year’s Carols & Christmas themed Moonlight Cinema. Live music, Santa and his Elves, food and fun are all on tap for this event, which will feature screenings of Merry Madagascar & Shrek the Halls on the LRA’s enormous inflatable cinema screen. 2015 Halloween in the Park
31st October 2015
Ghosts and ghouls from all over Lynbrook will be out in force this year, as the annual Halloween in the Park event gets into full swing at the end of October. This year, the event falls on a Saturday, so we’ll be expecting a big crowd – weather permitting. As usual, the LRA will have prizes for the best dressed boys, girls, man & women.

2015 Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival
10th October 2015
The 2015 Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival was a big hit this year with an estimated 4,000+ visitors to Lynbrook’s Banjo Paterson Park. Despite very nearly cancelling the event due to threatening inclement weather, hoards of locals turned out to enjoy was in the end was a terrific, balmy evening with fun for the whole family. Between the lantern painting, jumping castles, sausage sizzle, live entertainment and a raft of local businesses giving away freebies, there was something for everyone.

Lynbrook Winter Talent Showcase

The Lynbrook Residents Association is proud to present the inaugural Lynbrook Winter Talent Showcase. Expressions of interest are now open for any locals to showcase their talent at an event to be held on 22nd August at the new Lynbrook Community Centre. Pancakes in the Park
17th February 2015
This Shrove Tuesday, the LRA will be holding its annual Pancakes in the Park event. Come and enjoy some free pancakes and join in with the fun and games, as we put kids and adults alike through their paces with fun games like the pancake flip competition, tossing the pancake into the saucepan and more!

This will surely be a fantastic fun event for the whole family and it all kicks off this Tuesday 17th February @ 5pm at Banjo Paterson Park, Lynbrook.

Clean Up Australia Day
Sunday 1st March 2015 from 10am
Please join the Lynbrook Residents Association for our 4th Clean Up Australia Day as we clean up our streets and waterways.

Please register online first if you can and then sign in on the day. Meet at the rotunda at Banjo Paterson Park.

Kids welcome. Clean up finishes at 1pm and we celebrate with a FREE BBQ.

BYO gloves and sturdy shoes. Gumboots are a good idea if you’re going into the wetlands. Most of the clean up is at and around the park and surrounding wetlands.

Moonlight Cinema & Carols
Saturday 13th December 2014 from 6:30pm
Fun for all the family this December 13th with an action-packed evening of festivities. Featuring carols from the TurningPoiunt Lyndhurst District Church Choir, where everyone can join in with some classic Christmas carols. Santa and his very cheeky Elves will be there too and kids can have a blast duelling each other in the new silly string pit. This year’s Christmas-themed Moonlight Cinema will be featuring Elf with Will Ferrell. For more details, see our Moonlight Cinema page .

Music in the Park 
Sunday 23 November 2014 from 3pm
The Lynbrook Residents Association is proud to present our first ‘Music in the Park’ event featuring our Lantern Festival favourite Josh Tooth . This is a FREE event and a way the LRA can say thank you for everyone’s continued support. Hope you can join us for a nice afternoon with some fantastic music at our much loved Banjo Patterson Park. A good way to finish off a great Spring and welcome in the silly season. BYO food, drinks and chairs or picnic rug.

The LRA’s 5th Moonlight Cinema and the first of the 2014 Summer season, featuring the Disney/Pixar block-buster Monsters University, will take place at Lynbrook’s Banjo Paterson Park in Lynbrook this Saturday 8th February. This is sure to be a fantastic event with the promise of balmy, warm weather.

Come and join us one and all for a Christmas themed Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema on Saturday 14th December at Banjo Paterson Park, Paterson Drive, Lynbrook. This year’s Christmas event will feature Rise Of The Guardians and will be a fantastic family fun event.

Pipe & Drum band performance
16th June 2013
The Casey Pipe & Drum Band will be performing at Lynbrook’s Banjo Paterson Park on Sunday 16th June at 2.00pm. Come along and enjoy some great music, BBQ and other refreshments.

Hampton Park Cook Off
27th April 2013
The Hampton Park Networking Group has laid challenge to the LRA with their annual Community Kitchen Rules Bake-off, audaciously claiming that they can cook better than we can! Well, with the gauntlet well and truly laid down let it not be said that the LRA isn’t up to the challenge. Join us for some moral support on Saturday 27th April and cheer your community representatives on.

Lyndhurst by-election 
27th April 2013
Tim Holding, our elected State representative, has resigned. There will be a by-election for the seat of Lyndhurst on 27th April 2013. The LRA invited local residents to suggest which questions they might wish to be put to the candidates. Our by-election page lists all the questions submitted along with any responses received from the candidates to date.

Holi & Bollywood night!
23rd March 2013 @ 4.30pm
The LRA’s last event of the Summer season was a fantastic double bill, featuring the Holi Festival of Colours and a Bollywood blockbuster Moonlight Cinema. It was a fantastic day with lots of fun had by around 500 participants. Between the delicious Indian cuisine sponsored by Jasmine Stores, the spectacular Bollydazzlers Bollywood dancers, music by DJ Ash and the fun-filled celebration of Holi by the throwing of colours, everyone had a thoroughly good time.

Clean-up Australia Day
3rd March 2013
Many of us at the LRA joined forces with Clean-up Australia Day to work with enthusiastic local residents to remove dozens of huge sacks full of litter from Lynbrook’s parks, waterways and streets. MPs Inga Peulich & Greg Barber were also on hand to help out.

Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema
16th February 2013 – The Muppets
We’re excited about our next Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema event, which will feature a showing of The Muppets. Young and old alike will love this movie and the evening’s festivities will start at the slightly earlier time of 6.30pm, with the movie itself starting at dusk.

Wizard of Oz colouring competition
23rd December 2012
This Wednesday is the cut-off date for submissions to the Wizard of Oz Colouring Competition, where kids can download a Wizard of Oz themed image suitable for their age for them to colour in for a chance to win prizes. Winning entrants will also see their drawing up on the big screen at our Australia-Day Moonlight Cinema showing of Wizard of Oz on Saturday 26th January 2013.

Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema
15th December 2012 – Arthur Christmas
Lynbrookians turned out in force again to enjoy a showing of Arthur Christmas. Children and adults alike were delighted and entertained by the bouncy castles and pre-show entertainment provided by Santa and his Elves. Lynbrook’s very own Jessie Asadur, vocal teacher and fabulous singing talent, also entertained the crowd with some popular Christmas carols classics and captured the children’s imagination by getting them to all sing along. A thoroughly good time has had by all that attended.

Opening of the new Lynbrook Train Station
22nd April 2012
This was a date to remember, as the LRA joined forces with Public Transport Victoria to celebrate the opening of the very long awaited Lynbrook Train Station. This historic day for Lynbrook was celebrated with a sausage sizzle and formal opening ceremony with local ward councilors.

Clean-up Australia Day
6th March 2012
LRA committee members were enthusiastically joined by many local residents eager to participate in Clean-up Australia Day. It was a huge success and over 20 huge sacks full of trash were removed from our streets, pathways, waterways and local parks – a staggering volume of litter. A very well done to all those that were involved in helping to keep Lynbrook clean and tidy. Hopefully, we can all contribute towards keeping Lynbrook clean and tidy and free from litter.
