Playzone 15Km Approx. 17 minute drive from Lynbrook Coolart Historic Area Walking trails, lagoons with birds and bird watching hides. Beautiful gardens for picnics and a homestead which is free to look around. Cranbourne Botanical Gardens Young and old alike will love exploring the Royal Botanic Gardens at Cranbourne, which are teaming with wildlife.  There are many events and activities for children throughout the year. 10Km Approx. 14 minute drive from Lynbrook Myuna Farm This community farm located in Doveton near Dandenong boasts all sorts of animals from rabbits and guinea pigs to donkeys, deer and buffalo and everything in between. Children are encouraged to pet the small animals and feed the larger ones. With a playground, pony and train rides, and plenty of space to run around this friendly farm is sure to delight the young at heart.. 10Km Approx. 13 minute drive
Dandenong Ranges 28Km Approx. 37 minute drive from Lynbrook Philip Island Wildlife Park Lots of native Australian animals and you can get up close and personal with kangaroos, emus, etc. in the various large and open paddocks. Sprinkles Play Centre 17Km Approx. 22 minute drive from Lynbrook Frankston Botanical Gardens This tranquil parkland is a popular setting for wedding photography. Plenty of play equipment and tall trees to provide shade for picnics. Xanadu 7Km Approx. 11 minute drive from Lynbrook Frankston Foreshore Great outdoor play equipment and literally a few steps from the very well kept beech. Even with the several parking options, parking can sometimes be a problem and you may need to pay for it. 19Km Approx. 20 minute drive from Lynbrook Werribee Open Range Zoo Run by Zoos Victoria, Werribee is a large, open range zoo where you can board a safari bus to see the animals in their natural habitat. There’s a very nice water play area over by the hippos (take a change of clothes for the kids). There are three wonderful walks, beautifully landscaped to replicate the animals’ natural habitat whether it be the African Savannah or Australian Bushland. The highlight of the day is a 45 minute trip on the Safari bus, for up-close encounters with zebra, hippos, rhinos, camels, giraffes and more. 73Km Approx 53 minute drive from Lynbrook

Solar System Walk Marvel at just how big our Solar System is by visiting the 1:1 000 000 000 scale model of the Solar System on Port Phillip Bay’s foreshore. The exhibit starts with the sun at the Triangular Reserve at the St Kilda Marina. A cycle and walking trail takes you past all the planets through to Pluto. Although the distance from the Sun to Pluto is 5.9km, the inner planets up to Jupiter is only 778 metres, and a gentle stroll along the St Kilda seafront. The exhibit itself has no facilities, but there are many facilities nearby to St Kilda pier, including cafes, toilets, babychange facilities, plenty of places to enjoy a picnic and there is ample parking near the seafron 42Km Approx. 43 minute drive from Lynbrook

The Nobbies At the very tip of Philip Island, The Nobbies are a natural coastline/rock formation. There’s a visitors centre and woodern walkways meandering around the cliffs. Stunning vistas and fresh and fast-moving air. You may see the odd penquin nesting depending on the time of year and always plenty of see birds. Wombat Bend A bit farther away but well worth the effort. A lot of money went into building this terrific outdoor playground complete with flying fox, sandpits and lots of climbing equipment. It’s also just a short stroll to the Yarra River, where there’s a suspension bridge and walking paths. Coal Creak Step back into history in this sleepy old village complete with old buildings that showcase how life was like in the 19th Century. Volunteers in period costumes will provide a historic perspective for you. The narrow-gage railway trip takes place every half hour or so and takes you at a leisurely walking speed around the park. Crystal World This curious little shop sells all manor of intereting things made from crystals and other stones & gems. Enchanted Maze Well worth the effort and a good day out for the whole family. Mazes, manicured gardens and intricately carved hedges, obstacle course and lots of other climbing things for the kids and even some weird artistic scuptures. The kids are sure to enjoy the tube slides, although Mum & Dad won’t thank them for getting them up the hill each time. Hedgend Maze Set in 20 acres of parkland in the picturesque Yarra Valley, Hedgend Maze is a great family day out. Baysiderock If you enjoy climbing, this place is just awesome. It’s a huge warehouse stuffed full of rock-climbing walls. There’s a kiddies climbing area too, where they can safely climb whilst strapped to ropes that will gently bring them to the floor if they let go (which is also a lot of fun incidentally). For the more adventurous, there’s also an assault course dangling from the ceiling but the equipment used makes it impossible to fall. Bounce Inc Fly though the air and bounce off the walls. BOUNCE is a massive indoor trampoline universe all about jumping high and landing soft & safe. GESAC Glen Eira Possibly the best swimming complex in Melbourne. Open since May 2012, it has indoor and outdoor pools and loads of indoor play/splash equipment. Most importantly, the indoor water is VERY warm – even on the play equipment and that makes all the difference. The indoor kiddies pool is also very warm.
